Auto Insert Date Doesn't Rollover

Word will auto-insert the date that the program was last
opened and not the current date if the program is open
past 12 PM. I like to leave the program open for days or
weeks at the time since I use it constantly. I don't shut
down my computer and I leave word open so it is always
ready. I have to close word to get the auto-insert date
to update to the current date.

Any advise or fix? I can't find one anywhere.

Thank you. Preston

Word gets its date from the system when it opens. If it doesn't close, it
will always display the same date. That's the way it works. Write a script
to close Word at midnight and reopen it.
