Auto Linking Works Sporadically - BCM 2003

Auto linking appears to work only sporadically. Emails that I send or
receive are not always linked to the corresponding Business Contact.?

The email addresses do match (my company uses a Global address book which
seems to be connected to the email address field of the Business Contact
somehow...) and the correct folders are checked in the Manage E-mail Auto
Linking box.

Any suggestions?
