Can someone point me to another newsfroup if this one is not appropriate.

I help with a website for a school band. The teacher wants to be able to
send out an email blast to people who want it, everytime something changes
on the site. Marching band practice time changes, etc. Much like school
notes does.

Is there a way to automate the notification process within front page or
better yet, be able to trigger it manually when desired? Wouldn't want to
send an email blast everytime a spelling error got fixed.

I suppose it could be done just by sending out an email through Outlook with
a contact list or something similar - but it would seem like there's a
slicker way (ala schoolnotes.com).

Not possible in FP w/o some custom server side coding (ASP/PHP)

I haven't used this;
http://www.emailmover.com/

but have used other code from the same place and it was excellent.

the above is a VB/ASP script. The students could sign up for the list and
emails could be sent to them right off the server using it's functions.

I checked out the link. Price is right and it looks like it does exactly
what I want. Thanks.

You're welcome. If you try it post back. If you download it and want some
easy directions to set up an app like that (asp/access) I'll be glad to give
them. Most apps deployment instructions don't take some of FrontPage's
abilities into account, and there are some really good tricks. ;-)
