Auto Numbering Invoice

I would like to create an invoice in Word, using a table to list each
service/item. However, I need this to auto number each invoice.

For instance, the first invoice is 00045 then the next one would
automatically be 00046 when I open it.

If this is possible, I would appreciate the help.
