Auto Numbering revisited

I used the same function in the post titled Automatic
Numbering, and it works as advertised. I have a
question, though.

If we are using a form,(Sales Invoice) how can we make
sure that the numbers are tracked when we save the
worksheet with a different name, but we want to keep the
integrity of our Sales Order Numbering system?

Hi
in this case you may have problems as Excel does not support this kind
of tracking. Either store the number in a common place (e.g. a separate
file in your network) or use a dedicated application for such
requirements (database, invoice application, etc.)

I think the short and simple way of doing it will be to
save a copy of it with no data except for the number as
soon as it is opened. This will help keep track of it.
