Auto Open macro not running when accessed through HTML link

I have created an excel workbook. Upon opening the workbook a macro
runs. I have now created a HTML page with a hyperlink to the file.
Upon clicking on the link the file opens but the autoopen macro fails
to run. When I run the file direct the autoopen macro runs every time.

Can someone please assist me with this.
