Need to generate 100+ engineering diagrams for a large telephone installation
project.

Have an Access database containing the equipment for each site. I would
like to specify the coordinates of each type of equipment then generate a
site layout for each site.

I am not a programmer but do understand linking from a database to VISIO.

You might try to adapt the Bubble Chart example for this purpose:
