Auto-Referesh data on visio diagram on Sharepoint Server 2007

Hi All,

I have created a visio diagram & attached shapes with data linked from SQL
Server 2005. Now if I export/publish visio diagram as HTML/VDX to sharepoint
server 2007.
Is it possible to automatically refresh data on published visio diagram as
HTML/VDX ?

I am not be able to see data getting updated on visio diagram which is
published as html and/or vdx.

Any help is welcomed.

Hi Bhavin,

I'm thinking that you might have to re-publish the html document. This
can be done via automation.

Some of the data in a Visio-export is stored in some of the xml files
that are created by Save As Web. You might be able to get in there and
parse it and update it programmatically.

But if that data should cause changes in the appearance of the document,
it won't show in the html image, since it is significantly "dumber" than
the Visio drawing.

Might be worth a try, though.
