auto reply

We have a rule set up to auto reply to an external client. This was turned
off at the server. When it was turned back on it worked but only once. It
used to send a reply to every e-mail sent. The next day it will work again
but only once. It seems to be a one shot deal per day now.
I looked all over for a setting to change but could not find one. Any ideas
to change this to reply to all e-mails will be greatly appreciated.
Exchange 5.5 - Outlook 2000
