My experience is the autocomplete tip will not appear and
therefore respond to hitting enter if:

a. The AutoText name is not four or more characters
b. The four or more characters are not unique from other
AutoText names
c. The Autotext something other than text e.g., a drawing
object.

I created an auto-text. When I'm in Word, I can type the

name of the auto-text and hit F3 and it works, but I
cannot get it to work by just typing the first couple of
letters and accepting it by hitting enter...any ideas?
(The Show AutoComplete box is checked).
