Autocad to Visio

Client has an Autocad file saved in Autocad 2000 format. He also has Visio
2002 SR-1. He can open the Autocad file in Visio. He then right clicks on the
file and selects convert, goes through the wizard with no errors. However,
when the drawing is selected in Visio, the padlocks appear all around the
drawing so he can not work with the individual shapes. What are we missing?

It sounds like the inserted AutoCAD object is still there. Can you
right-click again to see if it has Convert and Properties commands?

When you convert you have to chose which layers to convert. If you don't
convert all the layers, the inserted CAD object will still be there. Also I
believe there is a setting to explicitly preserve the CAD object on
conversion. You may need to find this and turn it off. I don't have Visio
2002, so I have to go from memory here.
