Outlook 2001 doesn't support auto-complete. I'm assuming you're
referring to something similar to Quicken or a web browser whose address
field begins to complete as you enter a few characters.

You can enter a few characters and then type Command + k (same as
Windows) and Outlook will either enter a match from its address book or
give you a list of matching names.
