Autocorrect for subscript also changes format (font) and I dont want it to

S

SBMike

I have a few terms with sub scripts that I have handeled by auto
correct. To get the subscript to work I have had to set my preference
at formatted text. Unfortunately I just want the subscript to correct
I do not want to change the font as well. I want the font to stay in
the format of the rest of the document.

Is this possible? Would appreciate any suggestions.

Mike,

Did you have a font manually applied when you created the AutoCorrect
(formatted) entry? -- for example, the style you usually have for your body
text could be 10 point Times New Roman but you had applied 12 point Times
via manual formatting? That's all I can think of; I've never had this
problem (in Word 2001) with formatted AutoCorrect, but I operate only with
"pure" styles (that is, only rarely modified with manual formatting).

If this doesn't help, post back, but please provide exact details of your
formatting and how you prepared the AutoCorrect item. Don't be inhibited if
that ends up being detailed -- the answer will be in the detail!
