AutoCorrect

I am having trouble getting AutoCorrect to work in Outlook 2003. All the
settings look right, but it doesn't work. I am using HTML format mail and
do not have Word, Excel, or PowerPoint installed -- I only bought Office
Outlook. (As such, Word is not my email editor.)

AutoCorrect works with Plain Text and Outlook Rich Text, but not HTML. Is
that expected?

It requires Word as the editor. I think html only has a rich text control
that gives limited function.

Well, not entirely. Some autocorrect ability is contained within the
Outlook editor.
I found the preference for "Use AutoCorrect when Word is not the email
editor" but that only seems to work with plain and rich text, not HTML.

with the new riched it is but not in the terms it was being sought.

It will also autocorrect some things even in plain text messages.
