Autodesk Inventor 10

I have a HP Pavilion ZD8000 laptop with Media Center Edition. I have
purchased Autodesk Inventor 10 and have tried to install it. I get through
the wizard and then it starts to install the software and then as it
progresses through the installation cycle it freezes. I let the laptop sit
for three hours yesterday to see if it needed time to install but it just sat
there. I need any suggestions at this point.

Hi JoAnn,

I understand that AutoDesk is not made by Microsoft but I don't think it is
a Autodesk problem. All I am trying to get accomplished is to understand why
the Autodesk Wizard gets frozen. Is it because of a Microsoft Media Edition
problem? Do I have a conflict on some other Microsoft program? I do know that
AutoDesk has to use the Micrsoft server SQL and is that causing a program
conflict that I don't know about. So I am basically fishing for any idea if
anyone else with a Windows Media Center Edition has run into this problem as
I can load the application on a windows Pro edition. Thanks in advance for
any reply you might have.
Regards,
GFS

I would suggest contacting Autodesk about whether or not Inventor has issues
with the Media Edition. My husband uses Inventor 10 but he doesn't know
about any issues. (He uses Pro). I would suggest you post your question ion
an Autodesk newsgroup instead of Office. I am willing to bet that there are
few readers here with Inventor.
