Is there a way to filter some data using autofilter and then mail just the
filtered bits so that recipients only see 'their' bits - apart from copy and
pasting the filtered data to different workbooks?

If you save the workbook with the other bits hidden, then the user only "sees"
what you show them.

But that won't stop them from removing the filter to see everyone elses!

If that's what you want to stop, ...

Create New Sheets from Filtered List -- uses an Advanced Filter to create
separate sheet of orders for each sales rep visible in a filtered list; macro

Update Sheets from Master -- uses an Advanced Filter to send data from
Master sheet to individual worksheets -- replaces old data with current.

If you go to File/Send To, you should see an option for Mail Recipient as
attachment, and another option for (not sure of the exact wording here) Mail
Recipient in body of e-mail. If you select the latter, the data will be sent
in it's filtered form inside the body of the e-mail, and cannot be unfiltered.
