I am using Microsoft Excel 2003 at work. I use autofilters a lot to help
track my data and my filters freeze up at some point every single day. When I
click on the arrow, the drop down box does not appear. Usually I just turn
off the autofilter and then turn it back on and the problem is solved, but
there have been times when I have had to do it a few times before the filters
started working again. It will almost always freeze up again later.
This happens in both shared and nonshared workbooks, with and without
macros. None of the other users that use these documents experience the
freezing. I have tried to get my company's system support group to help me
but they cannot figure it out. Even though this only happens on my computer,
when I sent our support group the document while it was frozen, they were
still frozen when she opened it up on her side.
I feel like the problem may just be my computer, but I switched computers
about two months ago and it was happening then too. If it's me, I can't
figure out how I'm making them freeze. Any insight would be GREATLY
appreciated!
