Autofilters stop working

The filters in my spreadsheet stop working intermittently. We remove the
filters and reapply and they work for a while and then stop again.

Sometimes they freeze, othertimes they just disappear.

Are there any known conflicts with Autosave / Autorecover that might cause
this?
