Automated approval of timesheets

Dear All,

My client wants a feature where the timesheets get approved automatically
without any intervention from Project Manager.

I understand that approval needs opening of project using MS Project to run
the scheduling engine and send notifications to all affected resources.

Can this be done somehow using PDS or other custom application or some other
mechanism?

There is no easy to do this Project manager need to be involved for this.
