Automatic capitalization

I am trying to enter words in a table (basic word, synonyms,
antonyms). Every time I enter a word, Word capitalizes it, if the word
is alone in a cell -- or, the first word if there are several in the
cell. I don't want any of these words capitalized. How can I disable
this "feature"?

Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect tab > uncheck the box for
"Capitalize first letter of sentences."

While you're there, might as well look through the list for other
autocorrect entries that you don't like, and look on the other tabs
for autoformats that annoy the heck out of you. (Does anyone *ever*
want Word to "Define styles based on your formatting"?)
