automatic hyperlinking from pasted text

I want to be able to paste into my document the path of a
hyperlink, say 'C:/folder/mylinkedfile.doc'. This will be
part of a list so it will be a separate paragraph.

With the pointer in the pasted text, by running a macro I
want to create the hyperlink with the pasted text replaced
by the file name 'mylinkedfile'.

How do I do this?
