Automatic name completion does not work in 2003

Outlook does not want to complete the email addresses for me. I start
writing an address but it won't give me any suggestions (there are several
hundred contacts in the address book).
If I use the Check Names button I can see suggested names, though.
What did I do wrong, or didn't do?

Please don¹t reply to the address above ‹ it¹s a spam trap. If you want to
send me a message you can do it via any of my sites below.

AutoComplete in Outlook 2002 and 2003 works against addresses you've
previously typed in...it doesn't work against your Contacts folder. You'd
need to use the Check Names feature for that.

Sorry, I can only reply to the public group. If you want to delete the
entire AutoComplete cache, search for a file with a .NK2 extension and
rename or delete it. If you're using Windows 2000 or XP you'll need to
enable searching in hidden and system folders to find the .NK2 file. It
also helps to have file extensions visible.
