Hi,
I am trying to streamline my Census inputting program, by entering the Page No., Line No., and Folio No., only once at the start of a new census, then letting the program increment them automatically, thereby making less mistakes. The data for each Line No. contains certain information about a person, surname, forename, age, etc., which, obviously changes for each person, and cannot be automated.
Page for transcription contains the following data:
Page No. 001
Folio No. 005
Line No. 01 Name, Age, etc.
Down to
Line No. 31 Name, Age, etc.
Page No. 002
Folio No. 005
Line No. 01 Name, Age, etc.
Down to
Line No. 31 Name, Age, etc.
Page No. 003
Folio No. 006
Line No. 01 Name, Age, etc.
Down to
Line No. 31 Name, Age, etc.
..and so on.
In summary, there are 31 lines of data on each page; each page has its own number, which increments by 1 after 31 lines of data, after another 31 lines of data the folio number also increments by 1.
I need to increment the page numbers, line numbers and folio numbers automatically.
Any suggestions, and/ or, coding would be much appreciated.
