Automatic Repagination

I've been a Word user for quite some time, but don't
recall seeing the automatic repagination feature go wacko.

I have a Word 2K document Windows 98 of about thirty pages
layed out with styles and paragraph numbering. While I'm
editing the document Word continuously auto-repaginates
the document. I've tried disabling check spelling as you
type and looked for other ways to turn OFF this function
with no luck. Any ideas to disable this function will be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jay,

I saved the document as html (web page) then saved back to
a Word doc. This appears to have cured the hyperactive
repagination.
