automatic replies

does anyone know if you can set up an automatic reply that is not linked to the out of office? I have a 'recruitment' email address in the office, and want people to know that the deadline for current applications is now closed (but will open again in the future as positions arise). i don't want them to get an 'out of office' notification, nor do I want to have to reply to each one manually, any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

sure, all you have to do is set up a rule which will take a message from
(state your requirements) and reply with a message.
