Automatic site creation is not working

We have allowed the self service ability in Central admin for sharepoint and
Under PWA, we have allowed all of the automatic settings for site creation
and for granting user access, but it still does not work. The manual site
creation is working. Any help?

Correction to this question. The site does get created, however, the
assigned team resources do not.

PS2003? Presumably you cannot see the resources as users in the site
settings for the project workspace? Are your team resources project server
accounts or Windows accounts? What about the project mananger, can you see
him?

We are on PS2003 - that is correct. they are windows accounts. I can see
the Project Manager (which is me). I have a resource who I added a PWA
windows account for with team member access. I also added him as a resource
in the pool and then assigned him to the project task. When I published the
project, he does not show up on the project website workspace under manage
users, nor does he show up to assign issues or risks to. I can however add
him manually. I had my part time IT resource guy looking into this and he
can't figure it out.

WSS/PS integration is a tricky one to troubleshoot. How about if you add
those resources to the same groups that you are in via PWA. Then assign and
publish a new project and see if that works.

Ok, I added updated my resource in PWA with the same roles as I have
(including Project Manager). I added a new project ,assigned the resource to
the project and published it. I waited about 50 minutes, and it appears the
site did not create and the user was not added. Yesterday, I thought the site
auto creation was working, but we must have manually created it. When I
manually created the site, the site and user was added, however the user was
added with "Web Admininstrator" role - not sure where this came from - but
not as any of the roles listed from PWA.

Use PSComplus.exe on the server in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Project
Server 2003\BIN\1033 to set the WSS Administration Identity. It may be that
this just needs resetting, it may be that your Project Server installation
was never set up to interface correctly with WSS in the 1st place. This is
not an irretrievable situation.

Thank you. I've sent this to my part timer to take a look at on Friday.
We'll give this a shot and pray that it works. Will post an update on
Friday!!

We found the resolution. Turns out it was an authentication certificate
issue. We found this by fixing the outlook integration problem which also
fixed the site creation and auto add user.

Brandy,

We are having the same problem with the Automatic Site Creation not working.
I am curious what you are talking about when you say it was an
"Authentication Certificate Issue", could you expand on you solution please.

Thanks
