Hi

every time I try to open Outlook after a few messages I
get the message

microsoft has encoutered a problem and needs to close. We
are very sorry for your inconvenience.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem.

after that i am directed to Office Update site and am
asked about Active X controls. It says to right click to
install the active X but that does not appear to work.

Please help as i cannot recive any of my emails. Jane

Version of Outlook? What is logged to the Event Viewer?

You must accept the update ActiveX control so it can install and check your
Office version for updates
