automatic underlining to end of line, great for teachers who need

It would be great if I could hit one button to make a line to the end of the
page. I am a teacher and make lots of questions which need an underline to
the end of the page so kids can have a structured space to put their answer.

Usually this takes a while to make. You have to hold shift and underline and
go the end, but it usually goes over and spills down so you have to stop and
back up.

I think a lot of teachers need this.

Thanks

Set a tab position at the end of the line with an underscore leader. Tab
followed by enter will then give a blank underscored line.

Hi,

Although this is a programming and developing discussion, here's a tip on
applied line producing.

Until such time as a line-drawing button exists, here's a suggestion. Try
experimenting with selecting a paragraph mark (perhaps right-aligned) and
apply a bottom border to it. No more shift + underline. Word's Help feature
will show you the clicks and menus.

Viewing the Drawing toolbar then clicking to draw straight line with
endpoints that you can control by dragging is another quick option. The Help
menu will supply some further directions.
