Word Developer Help content lost (links to 2010?) - 2007 user

If I search for Online Help in a VBA page in Word 2007, I get a framework of
headings (with a Word 2010 emblem), but no content. General Word Help seems
OK. Office 2007 is my main installation. I also have Office 2003 installed.

Sorry: I can't find it. I know I posted something *similar* elsewhere; but
even my own name doesn't work in the search interface I'm using (Microsoft's
web-based 'communities' facility). I've paged through dates also.

that newsgroup

In the Visual Basic Help screen that appears, click on the "Connected to
Office Online" item in the bottom border and change to "Show content only
from this computer". Interestingly, if I then click on the "Offline" that
then appears in the bottom border and then select "Show content from Office
Online", the help from Office Online does then appear,

I'm having the same problem with help, as of a week or two ago. Even
when i tell it to only search offline, it generates and tries to open
an xml file, and i am completely unable to access vba help.

Any suggestions appreciated
