Is it possible to have something like a stock price automatically update
within a presentation at the presentation runs?

Updating is done each time the presentation is started. If you want to have
real time updating in a running presentation you will need to use VBA.

As Austin mentioned, you would need to write some VBA code that pulls the
information from the source and updates the slide(s) each time the slide is
shown. Similar to Shyam's LiveWeb addin. I have seen this done for
time/date, text boxes and web pages.
