automatically adjust merged cell size

I concatenate several formula-derived text sentences into one paragraph in a
merged cell. How do I get the cell to adjust automatically to the size
needed for the text? Sometimes the cell is too big, sometimes too small.

there's no automatic solution as this is a problem of merged cells (one
reason why to avoid merged cells)
