Automatically genererate a new message for new users

Hi all.
I want to welcome new users with an email message that instructs them on
different things in my network. Is it possible and if so, how do I
accomplish this?

When we did this where I work, we created the account and then sent that
account an introductory message such as you describe. It took anly about a
minute longer than the actual account creation. When the person logged into
mail for the first time, the message was waiting.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I often need to create a batch of 100
users at a time. That makes it more complicated.

Then you have to explain in detail how you did this. As I see it it would be
much work for just one person. Did you write a message and double click on
the recipients? Or did you script it? What am I missing?
I'm looking for a way to write an email that automatically ends up in the
new users mailbox without any further action from me.

We had six people working on it, doing about 20 accounts per day.
Did you write a message and

We had a draft message and as we added accounts, we forwarded that draft to
the accounts we created that day. We then stopped by the desks of the
people whose accoutns we created and gave them a brief demonstration.
I'm looking for a way to write an email that automatically ends up in
the new users mailbox without any further action from me.

I, for one, don't know how to do that.
