automatically launching office toolbar

D

Dave

I reinstalled Office 2000 after I had to do a restore on my system
after a system crash.

My Office toolbar doesn't automatically launch now. How can I get the
Office toolbar to automatically launch after a warm or cold boot?

TIA

Dave

Hi Dave,

From Start=>Run use
MSOffice.exe
If it's not found (that's the Office Shortcut Bar) then you may not have installed it and can do so from the Microsoft Office 2000
choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control panel (it's an optional feature).

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=203078 "Office Shortcut
Bar (OSB) setup, startup, and exit behavior is different from
earlier versions of Office".

Thanks very much... that got me the informaiton I needed. I can
launch it manually every time I (re)boot but I want it to launch
automatically (as it had in my previous installation).

I must have gotten "happy fingers" when I redid the installation and
missed the "automatically launch" option. I couldn't find a way to
set it to automatically launch later after it was told not to once.

Thanks again.
