Automatically sizing table cells to text

Chris

I have a table I've created for a client that stretches
over 5 pages. Now that the table is built, I need to size
the cells to fit the text within them. The cells vary
from one line to the next, so I can't highlight the whole
table and do a mass resizing of the cells.

The only way I've found to do this is by highlighting each
row and then dragging the vertical cell border where I
want it to go. Is there a faster way to accomplish this?

Many thanks,
Chris

If you're just trying to change the row height, select the entire table and
on the Row tab of Table Properties, set the row height to Auto (that is,
remove the check from the "Specify height" box). If you're talking about
column width, you can let Word automatically resize the columns to fit the
content, but that tends to be messy and also a drain on resources.
