Autonumber and Compact

Hello:
As I recall, if a table has no records and a database compact occurs, the
identity seed for the table gets reset to 1
Correct?

I do not want the identity seed to reset to 1 when the database is
compacted. Any ideas?

Simply leave a record in the table and after compacting, delete it...
