Autonumbered Heading styles not working in certain Languages

Hello,

My compnay recently updated our Word Template that we use for proposals,
which is used worldwide. We added Toolbars and macros. Our users wanted
autonumbered styles so we used the Microsoft default Heading 1-6 styles as
the base and developed our autonumbered styles so they could use the MS TOC
generation function to capture Chapter and page numbering. This new style is
available through the toolbar button or a pulldown menu on another toolbar
that we have for the template.

I have received inputs from Taiwan, Japan and China that the button on our
Toolbar for this autonumbered style as well as the menu item on our other
toolbar is not working for these users in either Engligh, Traditional
Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Japanese. They can, however, go to the
Microsoft pulldown menu and access the autonumbered Heading styles and they
work.

The users are on either MS Word 2002 (SP2) or Word 2003 (SP2)

I don't know if there is a setting on applications in these countries that
is set different of if they possibly have something on their systems that
would be conflicting with the macro button or pull-down menu. Our users in
Germany are not having a problem with their native language..

Has anyone experienced this or heard of this that could share information,
or perhaps know a fix for this problem..
