Autorecovery failed! -

J

Jelena Puzic

I have a ppt that crashed and I went through the autorecovery process and
saved the file as the same name. I tried to open it again - and I get an
error "cannot open file ..... because part of the file is missing". The file
does not open in powerpoint. I can't find any auto recovery file on my hard
disk either. There is a 6MB temp file was created in the same directory as
the damaged ppt. WHAT CAN I DO - THIS is a major disaster and presentation is
due tomorrow!!

Using Version 2002.

To start with... Open just the PowerPoint program (not the presentation).
Then select File -> Open and change the 'Files of Type' to 'All files
(*.*)'. Navigate to your folder, select and open the temp file. If this
works, you are in good shape.

If not, than your immediate needs will be answered by :
