Opening a presentation

When I try to open the powerpoint presentation.. the program crashes and says :

PowerPoint can't read the outline from C:\Users\Nico\Doucuments\Mis archivos
recibidos\etchebarne(1).ppt. No text converter is installed for this file
type.

What can I do?
