Autoshape Content is copied to each new autoshape

Hi, hopefully someone has the answer to this one!
First I create an autoshape in Word. Then add text to it.
Next, I create a NEW autoshape and voila, the SAME text
appears in the new shape. If I select text in one shape
BOTH are selected. The shapes are NOT linked.

Any suggestions??

much appreciated

AHA! I figured it out.
I resent the Drawing toolbar and my problem is gone...
for now anyway!

any other suggestions still welcome in case it happens
again.

I have the same problem with a few more twists. You said
you "resent the Drawing toolbar". How do you do that?

Something really weird is happening here. I have worked
a lot with Word, but this is my first attempt at creating
flowcharts. Everything was going fine as I created (and
copied) some autoshapes (Flowchart: Alternate Process)
and some connectors. But when I went back later and
tried to copy or create new boxes, the text from an
existing box seemed to be linked, even though I don't
remember linking any text. Help says to click on the box
and choose "break forward link", but that option isn't
available, it only says "Create Text Box Link". Some
other boxes seem to be mysteriously linked as well. When
I delete the new box, the previous "linked" box is no
longer selectable or editable, and I'm prevented from
entering new text into it. What's going on here? I
tried 'detect and repair', but it didn't change
anything. I'm completely prevented from going further on
this job until this is fixed.
