AutoShapes default to "no line"...

When I use the arrow tool (or any other AutoShape) to draw, it alway
defaults the "line color" to the "no line" setting. If I have th
object selected, I can then change it to black (or default) but th
setting does not stick when I draw another arrow.

I have *a lot* of arrows, lines, and boxes to draw and would like t
find a fix, rather than changing the setting each time or usin
copy-paste. Also, I would rather not run "detect & repair" because
don't want *all* my settings to return to default. :(

I have checked the Color settings on Tools>Options, but it doesn't hel
-- and I have searched the MS Knowledge Base but so far cannot find ho
to change the default line color value.

Any suggestions? :confused

If a 3-D effect has been applied to the object it automatically turn
off its border. If you remove the 3-D effect, the border shoul
return.

If you want to select all the objects on your sheet
Press F5, Click on the button labeled Special...., Click Objects
then OK. This will find and highlight all the objects on you
worksheet. Then just right click on one of the highlighted objects an
change it's settings. (This will change all objects highlighted to th
color you select.

I hope this helps you out.

Late post, but for people who are still having this problem:

Create a line and set the line to a color or default. Now right click
the line. From the menu, select "Set AutoShapes Default". This should
lock in the automatic setting on any line created thereafter.

Hope it works.
