Availability at resource center

Hello:

I have some doubts related to the availability views
inside the resource centre.

I have one resource who has an enterprise calendar of 9
hours a day for the whole year.

He has some tasks assigned for some time. In the
availability view I just can see his available hours in
the graph until middle of june, and I don't understand why
this happens, if he's supposed to be available all time
while he is in my enterprise. At the same time his
available hours are 0 in previous days (I understand that
is fine since for days that have passed he shouldn't have
available time), but this stops 10 days before today's
date, that is he is available to work on some previous
days.

I can guess that this availability is calculated in
dependance of publicated proyects, but I don't understand
fully how. Could someone help?

Thanks
José

José:

The extent of availability data published in the system is controlled
through Project Web Access Admin > Manage Enterprise Features >

On the OLAP Cube settings page there's an option to set availability data
parameters which is set to 4 weeks by default. Change the settings and
update the resource availability using the features on that page.

Hi Gary:

It's true !!
I understand now !!

So we might narrow the time frame for buiding specific
cubes, but mainly we'll have to periodically update the
resource data in a wide time frame so the data presented
is broad enough for all users.

Thanks a lot

Whatever you set for the range, gets updated every time you run the cube. So
you don't have to do this manually, simply set the range to one that works
for everyone.
