Availability Visual Report in Office Project 2007 Pro

For capacity planning, I use the Resource Usage View (Unit Availability).
Unit Availability can be displayed as 100% or decimal 1 (FTE). Can this view
be rendered in a Visual Report (in Excel)? I have tried (timephase = months),
but it gives availablity in hrs (not as 100% or 1 FTE). Any ideas how to?

Hello MSPLearner,

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the Unit Availability field that
shows in the Resource Usage view is available in the cube nor in the
reporting database.

The closest I could come is to convert the Resource Work
Availability Report Excel pivot table to formulas (Pivot Table Tools
Options context tab, Olap tools button) then divide the "Work
Availability" field by the number of working hours in each month.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hello MSP Learner,

Apparently there are still problems with replies being posted correctly. I
apologize if this is a repeat.

Thanks JulieS,

I came to the same conclusion - divide the FTE Availability. If I must do
that, then I am inclined to write an SSRS Report (against the backend
Resource TimeByDay table) and present the information "nicely" to our finance
(not PM) users.

Thanks again
