Availablity in Portfolio Analyzer

I created a cube and a view but when I drop the Availability field in, it
always shows full availability for all resources. Shouldn't availablity be
Capacity minus Work ? The work field displayed next to it shows the correct
values assigned to work.

When you say Availability, you are actually describing Remaining
Availability. If you wish to see Remaining Availability in a Portfolio
Analyzer view, you need to create a custom formula by completing the
following steps:

1. Click the Calculated Totals and Fields button on the PivotTable toolbar
and select Create Calculated Total from the menu
2. Name the custom calculation Remaining Availability
3. Click the field list to the right of the Insert Reference To button and
select the Availability (Total) field
4. Click the Insert Reference To button
5. Select the text area of the Calculation section and enter the minus sign
6. Click the field list to the right of the Insert Reference To button and
select the Work (Total) field
7. Click the Insert Reference To button
8. Click the Format tab
9. Select the Standard format, which displays commas in the Remaining
Availability field
10. Click the Change button to display the results in the Data fields drop
area
