Average function

I have a workbook with 5 worksheets. In cell A1 of
workbook 1 I want the average of the numbers in cell A1,
sheets 2,3,4&5. What would the formula be?

=SUM('sheet2:sheet5'!A1)/4

=AVERAGE(Sheet1:Sheet5!A1)

This is assuming that your sheets are in order ascending, and Sheet1 is
the left-most sheet, and Sheet5 is the right-most sheet.
