Averaging a range

Hello,
I have data that is posted each day in a row. I would like a formula
that will give me the average of the last 3 days. I want it to
automatically go the last 3 days in that row. I tried using Offset and
Counta but cannot figure out the correct way to do it. In otherwords.
iIf it averaged data in Cells D4,E4,F4 yesterday I want it to average
E4,F4,and G4 today. I got you address on the reply you sent before.

=AVERAGE(OFFSET(D4,,COUNT(D4:IV4)-3,,3))
