Avery Wizard for Word 2003

I have just installed the above software and now I have two Avery Wizard
buttons in my Word Standard toolbar. I have uninstalled it and then
reinstalled and still I have two buttons. The buttons are greyed out under
the Standard toolbar customise option. I presume one of the buttons is left
over from a previous version of the wizard.

Can anyone advise as to how to remove one of the buttons?

I know this isn't what you asked but... my personal recommendation would be
to remove the Avery Wizard. I tried it and was not impressed. I uninstalled
it within days.

It installs as a macro. Try Alt+F8 {or look under Tools, Macro}. I have
two: Averywizard20 and Averywizardhelp20. If you have more than these, try
deleting the extra ones. Other than excess macros, I am not sure why they
are grey.

I have followed JoAnn's advice and uninstalled it. I then tried to install
the previous version that I had but of course it said it could not find Word
2002 and would not install. I am now left with one Avery Wizard button which
when 'pressed' opens 'My Computer' I have Alt+F8 'd and still have
Averywizard20 and Averywizardhelp20 which I cannot delete. This lead me to
believe that I needed to start looking in the Registry... I have done this
and deleted all references to Avery. Problem still exists...

Yes, its gone from there. Do you think a Detect and Repair would do any
good or am I going to have to live with it?

And you've looked in Macros as Don suggested?

Yes, I think I am just going to live with it - not significant enough for a
whole reinstall!!
Many thanks to both of you for your help.

You might try Avery customer support. I bet they've seen this issue
before....

If you see macros in the Macros dialog and the Delete command is
disabled that means they are in a global template which is loaded when
Word starts. Even though the template loads and you can run the macros
you are prevented from modifying the global template if it isn't
opened in the application.

Take a look under Tools/Templates and Add-ins and see if there's an
template for the Avery wizard in the list. Then find the file and
remove it from the Startup folder to prevent it from loading when Word
starts. This should remove the macros and the command buttons.

To find the file, either use Windows Search to locate it or it will be
placed in either the \Office\Startup folder, located in the
installation path or the Word Startup folder. The Word Startup folder
location can be found under Tools/Options/File Locations.
