Have you given www.pfcmedia.com a try? It's a free download with a 14 day
trail so trying it won't cost any more than the time to download it.

In simplest terms it converts the format to something PPT (via the MCI
player) can deal with. (This is a huge plus if you are going to move the
pressie to another machine and you don't have any idea how it is set up.)
In almost all cases you will see a significant reduction in file size.
Additionaly in places the newly formated file into the same folder you have
the presentaiton in and helps preserve links when moved.

Or to put it in even simpler terms, give it a try and see for yourself. <g>

I'm suggesting pfcmedia.com, so I don't exactly understand how you want me
to compare the two -- they're the same thing. There's a free trial download,
I'd just download it and see how it works. It's usually a lot easier to let
PFCMedia convert your video file than it is to try to troubleshoot the
problem, especially since you've tried a couple of the usual things and they
haven't worked.

If you're asking about the other link, it's not a download--just my website
with some troubleshooting steps listed to try.
