.avi files stop

I have a client using Win 2K/Office 2K. PPT file size is ~1.72 mb. He
has several movies inserted using Insert, movie, from file. Movies
(.avi files) and presentation are all in the same folder. Movies run
fine just in Media Player. Within PPT, movies start to run but partway
through they stop and lock up PPT. Movies range in size from 1 mb to 6
mb. Any suggestions??

I found a GREAT program that works with PowerPoint to solve all the problems
with movies and sounds at a new web site ( www.pfcmedia.com ) It looks like
it was written by one of the PowerPoint MVP's and will be going on sale soon
but the site has a demo version you can try for 14 days. I ran all kinds of
movies through it and it's so simple I don't know why someone didn't do it
before. It handled every video I could throw at it, even the ones that
didn't work in PowerPoint. I can't wait for it to go on sale!
