AVIs video file problems in Powerpoint from Office XP

K

Kimberly

I need to add an AVIs video to Powerpoint Slideshow, I have read many of the
suggested posted in the past and find that some helped like changing the
format of the video to .mpg format, and then it allowed the video to be
imported. But when I go to View the Slideshow and then click on it to play,
the video window turns white and freezes (the program only freezes for a few
seconds then it will let end the Slideshow).

I also need away to edit the video so that only the video and not the sound
is imported into the slide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

"White box" is often a path length issue. See

As for editing the sound out, you'll need to do that in video editing
software.

You should look into PFCMedia and PFCPro, though. Not sure if it will let
you edit out your sound (but I think it will), but it will help overcome
most of the other issues. http://www.playsforcertain.com

Actually all I had to do was move the file to a shorter pathway, ex. my
Documents foldier and it worked.

Glad to hear that resolved it.
