Avoid "Save changes to global template" prompt

I am developing an add-in that creates a temporary
toolbar for an ActiveInspector...

If I use Word as the default email editor, on exit of
Outlook, there is a prompt asking if I want to save
changes to the global template (I assume normal.dot?).

This prompt appears even if I choose to save changes, the
next time I run Outlook and exit. Is there a
method/technique to avoid this prompt?

from within Word click Tools; Options; Save and uncheck the box for ""prompt to save normal template
